Launch MetaTrader 5 and authorize your trading account
What you need to do

Open MetaTrader 5. In the Navigator panel, add a trading account — enter login, password, and broker server address. After authorization, the account number will appear in the title bar. The advisor AlgoFy Swift-Special will start trading automatically on EURUSD.

Copy the AlgoFy Swift-Special.ex5 file
① Open Data Folder

In the MT5 menu: File → Open Data Folder (or Ctrl+Shift+D)

File → Open Data Folder
② Copy the advisor

Navigate to MQL5 → Experts and paste the file AlgoFy Swift-Special.ex5 (246 KB).
Close the folder window.

Add the EURUSD currency pair
Add symbol to Market Watch

In the Market Watch window, click «+ click to add...» at the bottom. Type EURUSD and press Enter. The pair will appear in the list.

Open the EURUSD chart
Open Chart Window

Right-click on EURUSD in Market Watch and select «Chart Window». A new EURUSD chart will open.

Refresh the advisor in Navigator
Update the list of advisors

In the Navigator panel → expand Expert Advisors → right-click → select «Refresh». The advisor AlgoFy Swift-Special will appear in the list.

Attach AlgoFy Swift-Special to the chart
Attach to chart

Right-click on AlgoFy Swift-Special in Navigator → select «Attach to Chart».

Right-click → Attach to Chart
Tab «Common»

In the opened window, go to the Common tab and check the box:

Quiet StopSoft stop mode. Prohibits opening new trades. Existing grid positions close automatically at take-profit. Use this to gracefully stop the EA without force-closing trades at a loss.
Lock with dropdownRisk limitation mode. When equity drawdown reaches the specified percentage, a hedging lock activates and the EA unloads. You then decide: close positions manually or exit the drawdown via technical analysis.

When Lock activates
The EA places a hedging lock and stops trading to protect your account from further losses. After that you have two options: close all positions manually and accept the loss, or analyze the market and exit the drawdown using technical analysis. We recommend closing the drawdown and continuing to use the EA — the algorithm historically recovers the account faster than manual trading.
